Lees Summit, MO – April 24, 2020 – Clean Heart Maids, LLC has been donating cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past three years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Since 2017, Clean Heart Maids has supported a total of 28 cancer patients with a donated value of $12,150 in cleanings.
Tina Eaken and Kam Eaken, a mother and son ownership team, want to bring heightened awareness of the cause to the area during Cleaning for a Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer to receive the gift of a clean home.
“When I first heard of Cleaning for a Reason, I knew we needed to be involved in some way,” said Tina Eaken. “Our entire staff feels honored and blessed that we can bless others through these home cleanings.”
Kam Eaken emphasized, “During this COVID-19 crisis, it is crucial to maintain clean homes and work spaces. As an essential business, we are working to provide clean, healthy, and safe homes for all of our clients. All staff are trained to properly clean, sanitize, and disinfect with an extra emphasis being put on those high touch areas. Staff is equipped with masks, shoe coverings, and gloves, while also practicing social distancing when cleaning.”
“Additionally, we collected and delivered food and supplies to over 20 families in need. This was another way for our employees to give back during this pandemic.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Clean Heart Maids supports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Kansas City Metro Area, both in Missouri and Kansas.
“Cleaning for a Reason is very special to me,” said employee Tammy Wilson. “My mom is battling cancer. I can’t imagine trying to clean, while going through chemo. I have bonded with the cancer patients we serve. They are all very deserving of a clean environment.”
